Illustrating the Turkish story in Hungary
We got this lovely story called "Keloglan's Dream" from Turkey to illustrate. It was so interesting to read the story and we really liked it. The story has the eight characters of the partner schools. We were happy to draw pictures to illustrate the story. Here is the story book and our drawings.

In
one of the faraway countries, there lives a man whose name is Perkunas but the
people call him as ‘The God of Thunder’, because his anger is as harsh as a
lightening.
Egyszer
volt, hol nem volt, élt egyszer egy férfi, akit Perkunasnak hívtak, de az
emberek csak a „Menydörgés Istenének” szólították, mert a haragja olyan
kíméletlen volt, mint a villámlása.
The
most precious thing of him is his daughter ‘’Princess’’. She is so beautiful
with her shining crown that all of the handsome boys in the country wants to
marry with her. So, the God of Thunder
tests each of these boys and tries to find the most suitable son for his
daughter.
A
legjobb dolog vele kapcsolatban, csak a lánya, a hercegnő volt. Ő olyan gyönyörű volt a csillogó koronájával a fején, hogy minden jóképű legény az országban őt
akarta feleségül venni. Így a „Menydörgés
Istene” próbára tette ezeket az ifjakat, hogy megtudja, melyik legény illik legjobban a lányához.
One
day, the princess is kidnapped by Ali Baba and the forty thieves and Perkunas
announces that he will give a prize to the one who finds his daughter.
Egy
nap, a hercegnőt elrabolta Ali baba
és a negyven rabló. Perkunas kihirdette,
hogy jutalmat ad annak, aki megtalálja a lányát.
Keloğlan, who is famous for his traditional
waistcoat, hears it and sets off to find her. In his way, he gets tired and
sleeps under a tree. In his dream, he meets with Basilisk who frightens from
his own reflection on the mirror. He fights with the Pied Pier of Homelin and
his mouse, he deals with the Goat and her Three Kids, who are sitting on a
chair, he battles with a knight but he can’t escape from him because he locks
him with a key.
Keloglan,
aki híres volt a mellényéről,
meghallotta ezt és
elindult megkeresni a hercegnőt.
Útközben
elfáradt és lefeküdt aludni egy fa alá. Álmában találkozott Basiliskkal, a
sárkánnyal, aki megijedt a tükörben saját tükörképétől. Harcolt a hamelini furulyás emberrel és egerével, elbánt a kecskével és három gidájával, megküzdött a
lovaggal, de nem tudott elszabadulni tőle,
mert bezárta őt egy kulccsal.
When
he wakes up, he sees Ali Baba and the 40 thieves standing by him. At first, he
gets scared but when he gives them a bag with coins, they take him to the
princess.
Mikor
felébredt, meglátta Ali babát és a negyven rablót, amint mellette állnak.
Először megijedt tőlük, de amint átadott nekik egy erszényt tele pénzzel,
elvezették a hercegnőhöz.
As
soon as he sees the beautiful princess, they fall in love. Keloğlan, finds a way and they escape
together. He takes her to the God of Thunder and he likes Keloğlan because of his courage and gives
permission to their marriage. Then,they live happily forever in their beautiful
palace.
Első
látásra szerelmes lett a hercegnőbe. Keloglan sikeresen megtalálta a módját,
hogyan szökjenek el együtt. Elvitte a hercegnőt a Menydörgés Istenéhez, aki
nagyon megkedvelte Keloglant a bátorsága miatt és hozzáadta a lányát. Boldogan
éltek a gyönyörű palotában, míg meg nem haltak.
