Comenius Day in Hungary

COMENIUS DAY - EUROPEAN DAY IN HUNGARY

We organised our Comenius Day on 26 September. We celebrated this event with dances, songs, music and language lesson of the partner countries. Each class turned into a country on this day. The pupils decorated their classrooms with friezes, flags and art decorations of the Comenius countries.  We dressed up in costumes of the story characters of the partner schools' stories. We organised a show in the gym where we invited our parents. We danced Romanian, Lithuanian and Spanish dances. Our pupils wrote a poem about France and gave a French lesson where we could learn some greetings. Our "Hungarian class" sang some Hungarian folk songs. One of the classes acted out the Polish Dragon story. The "British" class put the Beatles, some football clubs and typical landmarks of Britain on the stage. The "Turkey" class introduced a game and some basic information of the country. During the show we could vote on the story characters. The winners got a certificate. At the end of the show, we waved with our flags.
We had lots of fun!
